Search for a group or activity.

This Is Tewkesbury would like to develop a database of community and public groups and activities in the Tewkesbury area. As we found out when launching the Community Day last year, there is no one reliable listing of groups, nor anyone responsible for maintaining one. This is the first iteration. We are aware of its shortcomings. Our website builder (Hostinger) has very limited database support so we have adapted a sales page, and we do not have an experienced database designer.
But it is a start, and our aim in the short-term is to produce a "quick and dirty" working example to demonstrate the potential to groups, suitably skilled volunteers and possible funders. Have a go!

Insert your search below. This can be the name of a group, a type of activity (e.g. sport, art, veterans, faith etc.) or age group.

Tewkesbury Sea Cadets
For over 80 years, the Tewkesbury Sea Cadets—proudly known as Training Ship (TS) Otter—has been giving local young people a serious head start in life through nautical adventure and fun.
Rooted in the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy, TS Otter isn't just about marching in uniform (though they do have a top-tier drill team!). It's a registered youth charity dedicated to transforming everyday kids into confident, capable leaders.

Whether they're mastering knot-tying and seamanship, deciphering naval communications, navigating STEM challenges, or hitting the water, cadets learn teamwork, resilience, and self-reliance. From their origins in a small Smiths Lane building back in 1942 to their modern headquarters at Trinity Walk, TS Otter has become an integral part of the Tewkesbury community, turning out some of the finest young ambassadors the town has to offer.
